The ADA has afforded me the equal opportunity to be independent, educated, and gainfully employed.
Can you share a “before and after” experience; e.g., before the ADA I couldn’t do X or was denied access to Y, and thanks to the ADA I can do Z.
Before the ADA I did not receive the support and opportunities with finding and retaining employment. With the implementation of the ADA I was able to take the GED, orally, and pass all of the requirements of the exam.
What advances in disability rights would you like to see in the next 30 years?
I would like to see all forms of public transportation like taxi cabs, Lyft, and Uber become accessible for those of us who need wheelchair accessible vehicles.
