How has the ADA impacted your life regarding travel/mobility, education, employment, or any other aspect?

It got me help for services while attaining my bachelor’s & master’s degrees in social work.

Can you share a “before and after” experience; e.g., before the ADA I couldn’t do X or was denied access to Y, and thanks to the ADA I can do Z.

I failed the CAADC Exam twice without accommodations, and then with accommodations I finally passed it. Now I’m in the process of trying to get those same accommodations for my master/clinical exam for the MSW exam, which I’ve already failed once.

What advances in disability rights would you like to see in the next 30 years?

I would like to see doors open automatically without having to push buttons. I would like access to exams without such a hassle of getting proof from years gone by.
