How has the ADA impacted your life regarding travel/mobility, education, employment, or any other aspect?

The ADA has opened up new doors I didn’t know were available. I have dyslexia and ADHD and it helped me become a better student.

Can you share a “before and after” experience; e.g., before the ADA I couldn’t do X or was denied access to Y, and thanks to the ADA I can do Z.

Back in the day, education disability wasn’t heard of. So, if you passed or failed it was always the fault of the student. The ADA helped me get the right resources to help me study.

What advances in disability rights would you like to see in the next 30 years?

More testing in the early years of education. More sympathy for the students who learn differently. Teachers and administrators with more patience. More education for all public schools on awareness of learning disabilities.
