Matilda from Julianna

I probably read Matilda over a hundred times throughout the course of my childhood. It was my go-to book when I didn’t have anything new to read. I was a voracious reader and memorized my library card number so that even if I forgot or lost it, I would be able to check out books at our local library. I felt this connection to Matilda and her love of reading and learning, and he desire to use her special talents to help others. Now, looking back, I see that by championing an imaginative little girl with an appetite for learning, it helped me to value and develop my own love of reading, learning, and creativity.
