How has the ADA impacted your life regarding travel/mobility, education, employment, or any other aspect?

It has placed me in a state of depression, it has affected my mental causing nervous and emotional breakdowns because of lack of proper assistance. Fighting for my rights has caused more health issues outside of the primary disability. Disability Rights is investigating some matters for me and I’m trying to set up contact with media currently to be heard.. Life is harder for me to succeed, travel and be accepted. I’m stressed and angry.

Can you share a “before and after” experience; e.g., before the ADA I couldn’t do X or was denied access to Y, and thanks to the ADA I can do Z.

Before losing a lot of vision I didn’t have these issues. Now that I’m battling more I have been discriminated and stereotyped by members of certain intenties who are set in place to assist us with disabilities. I hate being visually impaired because things are not fair and being swept under the rug.

What advances in disability rights would you like to see in the next 30 years?

For people not to have difficulty getting the service that qualify for. The system is hard for people to get what they deserve causing other disorders such as stress, depression, heart problems etc
