How has the ADA impacted your life regarding travel/mobility, education, employment, or any other aspect?

If it were not for the ADA a few organizations would have gotten away with the things they were doing.

Can you share a “before and after” experience; e.g., before the ADA I couldn’t do X or was denied access to Y, and thanks to the ADA I can do Z.

The university I attended for my undergraduate degree was using several systems in courses that were not accessible to the blind among other problems with professors not bothering to provide accomodations. One particular professor was particularly bad because she was using an inaccessible online program for all assignments and exams for one class and she would not provide me in a timely manor materials for another class. Once the disabled students office decided to not help out, and the last day to drop a class came along, it was clear that an ADA complaint needed to be filed. Well, short version is that that university ended up being required to remove the course I had to drop from their records, train all employees on the ADA and how to properly make accommodations, and that particular professor who taught at more than one university was no longer able to do this to anyone else at any of the universities she taught at because she had now lost her job.

What advances in disability rights would you like to see in the next 30 years?

Requirement that all websites are completely accessible, requirement that all self driving vehicles are accessible, requirement that as much as possible, all computer software is accessible as well as office and home electronics
