How has the ADA impacted your life regarding travel/mobility, education, employment, or any other aspect?

I do not qualify for diasbility because I do not fit into any of their boxes. I have severe lung disease. i would love to have my ability to breathe protected. Everywhere people are drenched in toxic scents, perfumes, laundry detergents, lotions, makeup, etc. These scents compete with other ones: traffic, exhaust, smoke, cleaners, plug-ins, air fresheners and pesticides. The scents mingle and grow exponentially into a toxic soup that seeps into all materials and skin. Going to the hospital, doctors, court, and the grocery store are now almost impossible for me. There is no where except my home where I can control factors. I would like to be able to go to the hospital when I am very ill without having to fight the staff and their ignorance. Schools are particularly appalling. Hospitals and government buildings and employees should be scent free. I am not alone; the right to breathe and live should be protected as much as someone else’s right to stink on their off time. Disabled people get lights, ramps, handle, sounds etc., but the millions of people with asthma, lung deseases and allergies have to just gut through it. It is time to change this.

What advances in disability rights would you like to see in the next 30 years?
